Driving Lessons
Whatever your schedule, however you learn best, there's an option that works for you.
Ways to Learn With Us
ICE Driving offers three ways to learn:
- Weekly lessons
- Semi-intensive
- Full intensive courses
All of them are one-to-one, all of them are built around your schedule, and all of them are taught by an experienced instructor. The difference is pace.

Weekly Lessons
The most popular way to learn.
Regular one-to-one sessions, typically one or two hours a week, that build your skills gradually and give you time to consolidate between lessons. There’s no rush, no pressure, and no jumping ahead before you’re ready.
Progress is steady and structured. Each lesson builds on the last, covering everything from the basics of car control through to complex junctions, roundabouts, and the manoeuvres you’ll be tested on. By the time you book your test, you’ll have covered the ground properly rather than scraped through it.
Who it’s for: Most learners, particularly those starting from scratch or with no time pressure on passing. Works well alongside school, college, or work commitments. Lessons are scheduled around you.
Single Lesson £48 per hour

Semi Intensive Lessons
A middle ground between weekly lessons and a full intensive course.
More frequent sessions – usually several hours across a week or fortnight that keep momentum without the pressure of completing everything in one concentrated block.
It’s a good way to progress faster than a weekly lesson allows without overhauling your schedule entirely. You get the benefit of regular time behind the wheel, which speeds up confidence and skill development, while still having breathing room between sessions to process and consolidate.
Who it’s for: Learners who want to move faster than once a week, those with a rough target date in mind but some flexibility on exactly when they sit, or anyone who’s part-trained and wants to pick things back up with purpose.

Intensive Lessons
A concentrated block of lessons designed to get you test-ready in a shorter period of time.
Done properly, intensive learning can be highly effective. The increased time in the car builds confidence quickly and keeps everything fresh in your mind between sessions.
It’s worth being clear about what an intensive course is and isn’t. It’s a faster route to being ready, not a way of skipping the learning. The same standards apply, the same skills need to be in place, and the same test awaits at the end. Phil will always be honest about whether an intensive course is likely to work for you before you commit to one.
Who it’s for: Learners with a specific deadline, people relocating and needing a licence quickly, those who’ve already had some lessons and want to finish strongly, or anyone who knows they learn better through immersion than gradual repetition.
